The FN 303® Less Lethal Launcher: The Right Level of Response
Nowadays, both armed forces and law enforcement officers all around the world have to face an increasing number of peacekeeping and law enforcement operations, where, very often, the use of lethal weapons is not always the most appropriate.
To meet these new evolutions, FN Herstal introduced the FN 303® Less Lethal Launcher in 2003. An effective way to strike the suspect from a distance.
System Description
The FN 303® has been specifically developed as a less lethal device and allows neutralization and seizure of suspects with maximum effectiveness and reduced risk. The FN 303® launcher consists of three main components: the less lethal launcher itself, a 15-round magazine and an air compressed bottle.
The lightweight polymer magazine of the FN 303® holds 15 projectiles and features a transparent cover to allow the operator to instantly verify both projectile type loaded and number of remaining shots.
Key Benefits:
- Accuracy: The FN 303® is extremely accurate at 25 meters and offers a very high probability of torso hits at 50 meters. It can be used at ranges up to 100 meters.
- Ease To Use: Using compressed air to launch projectiles, the FN 303® gives no flash, very little sound and almost no recoil.
- Multiple Engagements: The FN 303® fires semi-auto from a 15-round magazine allowing rapid multiple engagements.
