Capability
Operating on a 38-hectare industrial site near Geelong since 1967, WAL has fully functional test firing ranges of 25, 50 and 100 metres for testing and evaluation of small arms products with space to grow. Quality control is currently performed to the North American Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) standard. Ammunition can also be tested using the FBI test protocol to assess the capability, lethality and penetration of rounds using ballistic gelatine. WAL has key technical knowledge of ammunition ballistics and performance, recognised as a long-time small arms prime Winchester Australia has been supporting the Australian Military for years. Winchester Australia and Combined Systems Inc (CSI) have enjoyed a long and successful partnership. Founded in 1981, Combined Systems, Inc. (CSI) is the recognized leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of security products for the global defense and law enforcement markets.
